Your company needs to hire thought leaders who can solve complex problems while successfully leading the team. Hiring managers often look at the tangible skillset present on the resume, but it’s the intangible skills that are critical to your leaders’ success.

They will be an asset to your organization upon hire, and will make a solid impact going forward. They regularly consult with a broad array of stakeholders to ensure they are providing optimal solutions to help the organization meet its goals. Those candidates that possess both great tangible and intangible skills are in very high demand and are being approached by your competitors every day.

Just looking at a candidate’s resume may not give you the information you need about their intangible skills. Their resume may show they haven’t perfected every skillset you need, or haven’t led the size team they would in your company, but you need to know if they are a problem solver, an innovator and a driver of success.

​Give your organization a competitive advantage by keeping an open mind and using the resume as only one piece of the information you consider about any candidate.
